Our combined product suites offer students in North America and across the world the transformative educational environment they need to learn and succeed. Together we will continue to innovate and develop our suite of products to create the best assistive technology.

You will still be able to choose from the same range of products provided by both companies, and you should only notice improvements in the services provided. Together, Texthelp and Don Johnston Inc. want to be champions of choice for students. This is reflective of our shared belief that everyone learns differently. By joining forces, we will be able to offer more solutions to students and we will be able to break down more barriers for them. Texthelp and Don Johnston have extensive technical knowledge and enhanced capabilities. By combining these shared resources, we expect to be able to help more students around the world. Straightaway, we will be adding math reading to Snap&Read, borrowing from Texthelp’s EquatIO expertise. In the future, we will find more ways to combine our capabilities to improve the products and services we offer. We plan to add to the range of products available to students and bring innovation to the market more quickly.

Yes! Don has joined the Texthelp Board of Directors and made a significant investment in the company. He is fully committed to the goal of reaching 1 Billion students by 2030, and by coming together this will be possible.

We chose the name Building Wings because it represents the relationship between teacher and student. It’s our mission to create special education teaching resources that help both teachers and their students experience the joy of learning and to take flight together.

Our curriculum product lines have very different needs from our assistive tools. We already had different teams for development, sales, and customer support and now there is more dedicated focus behind each product line. Ultimately, we hope there will be some really positive things that come out of this focus that will directly impact educators and students.

The two companies are like sister companies and Don will continue to have a role with both Building Wings (as CEO) and Don Johnston Inc. as a board member and investor in Texthelp. Plus we anticipate holding some intense cross-company bocce ball tournaments in the future!

All employees on the curriculum division of Don Johnston will become Building Wings employees, and you will continue working with the same representative that you always have.

Yes! While Don will serve as the CEO of Building Wings, he is also a Texthelp board member and investor.

We’re working hard to make the transition as smooth and transparent as possible. You can send your payment to the Don Johnston Inc. office. In the future, you’ll likely see your invoices split between Building Wings and Texthelp/Don Johnston Inc.
