The ability to write has enormous power, especially for the student who has complex learning needs (CLN).

Meanwhile, special educators often tell us, “My students can’t even trace their names. How can I teach them expressive writing?”

Hope is here. Let Dr. Janet Sturm show you more.

Learn how students with CLN can become authors when systematic, sequential and explicit instruction is anchored in the science of writing. First Author® is anchored in self-regulated strategy development (SRSD), a science-based framework that benefits ALL student writers.
In this 30-minute webinar, Janet uses First Author to illustrate the six stages of SRSD and how to apply them to writing instruction for students with complex learning needs.

Participants receive Janet’s guide, Authors Do 3 Things.
