To our valued Snap&Read and Co:Writer customers…

To anyone who has run a PAR or uPAR with a student who has lit up from the inside out when they’ve heard the results and discovered that decoding limitations do not, in fact, mean they don’t have the capacity to learn and understand.

To those of you who became an educator because they themselves struggled in school, and they wanted to make sure that kids like them get the support they needed.

To all of the fierce advocates for the youngest among us who learn differently. People like Kathy White, Janea Menicucci, Emily Boyett and many more whose stories have gone untold here, but whose impact on the lives of students

To those of you who became an educator because you yourself struggled in school, and wanted to ensure that kids like you get the support they need.

To the educators and students whose experiences we didn’t highlight in this space but are no less important and valued…

…we have an important announcement:

While Snap&Read and Co:Writer aren’t going away anytime soon, they are, over the next 18 months, slowly being integrated into Read&Write.

Since Texthelp and Don Johnston came together as one team, our main goal has always been to offer the best products and experience possible.

From the start, customers were excited about our partnership and what it could mean for innovation. We’ve spent a lot of time talking to customers to understand what they want in the products they use.

The result? A streamlined product and experience that does what educators and students need it to do. Your feedback, straight from you as our customer, has been the driving force behind this decision.

3 in 1 Co:Writer and Snap&Read fatures are coming to Read&Write

The product development team intends to maintain and preserve Snap&Read and Co:Writer’s most important features and functionality, combining it with Read&Write’s capabilities to create a robust tool to support the needs of even more learners.

And with the ability to choose from different “modes” of Read&Write that look and function very similar to Snap&Read and Co:Writer, as well as a full year to prepare and a variety of training options and resources, the intent is also to minimize disruption to the end user.

We want the transition to be as smooth as feasibly possible. We’re committed to incorporating your feedback throughout the process, as well as providing as much support and training as possible with the eventual transition.

We’ll also be sunsetting both the Don Johnston and Texthelp brands at the end of 2024, as we come together with n2y and create something incredible and new.

We know a lot has changed over the last few years! But one thing has remained true at Texthelp, is that the people who work here are truly mission-oriented and in this work for the right reasons.

We feel really hopeful, both about the future of your products and the future of the company that will be supporting them. But we know you have questions about what all this means for your tools, for your district, and about the future.

In our customer FAQ, linked here, we try to answer as many of your questions as possible.

Whatever we don’t cover, please use this Snap&Read and Co:Writer customer feedback form to submit questions to us directly.

Then, join us for our Snap&Read and Co:Writer customer webinar on May 9th where we’ll answer as many of them as possible. Sign up for Bringing Snap&Read and Co:Writer into Read&Write: Maximizing potential with minimal disruption here on the Texthelp website.
